What's a cookie?

Plantsome uses cookies and we hate to break it to you but these cookies are not for consumption. A cookie is a small file which is sent along with this page (and/or flash applications) for your browser to then store it on your computer. The use of permanent Cookies

Using permanent cookies allows us to recognize you when you visit the Plantsome site after not having been there for a little while. What do we use session-based cookies for?

Using a session cookie allows us to see which elements of our site you have visited. This allows us to see which parts of our site work best so we can improve the experience for our customers. These cookies are automatically removed when you close your browser. 

Google Analytics

Our website will also place a cookie from the American company Google as part of their Analytics tracking service. We use this service to keep track of our overall site performance. Google helps us with useful reports around how visitors are using our website. Google may provide this data to third parties should they be legally obliged to do so or insofar third parties are processing this data on behalf of Google. We have no influence over this process. We are not allowing Google to use the data and analytics for other uses or Google services.

All of the information that Google gathers is anonymized as much as possible. We have asked Google to mask your IP address and have a working relationship with Google that entails these agreements. 

Social Media

Our website has buttons that allow you to "like", "share" or "tweet" about our products and services on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. These buttons act using pieces of code that are provided by the companies themselves (Facebook, Twitter). Using these buttons will also place cookies which is something that we have no control over. Please read Facebook and Twitter's privacy statements (which will be amended from time to time) to ensure you know which (personal) information these companies use and store when you click on these buttons. 

The information that these companies are gathering is anonymized as much as possible. The information that is transferred to Twitter, Facebook, Google and Linkedin are stored on servers in the United States. 

Right of access to your data and removal of your data

You have a right to see, correct and ask for the removal of any personal information. If you wish to do so, please use our contact page to reach out to use. The make sure that this service is not abused we may ask you to identify yourself. When you are specifically looking for data that is linked to a cookie we will ask you to send us the cookie that was stored on your device. You may find this cookie in the settings of your browser.
