Looking for a Sansevieria (or Snake Plant)?

Some people call snake plants "Mother-in-law's Tongue", but we think that's just hisssterical! When it comes to indoor plants, the Sansevieria is as easy care as it gets. Originally grown in Africa, these tropical plants tolerate low light conditions and won't get angry at you for forgetting a watering or two... or three... or four... you get it.

Looking for a Sansevieria (or Snake Plant)?

Why choose a Sansevieria?

If you're a beginner plant parent looking to transform your home into the urban jungle of your dreams, the snake plant is your new BFF. Forget optimal growing conditions! Gus and Kaa defined the term "easy care plant" so trust us when we say this plant grows anytime, anywhere. You'll often see this amigo chillin' on windowsills or perched in the corner of your favourite café. Our rule of thumb is to let your snake plants' potting soil dry out between watering and keep your pets at a safe distance - Gus can be a bit toxic towards furry amigos.

What are the benefits of a Sansevieria?

What aren't the benefits? The snake plant is as chill as a cucumber, has its own cool nickname and is simply good for the heart and soul. Feeling down in the dumps about killing that one rare elephant ear you once had? Gus is here for you.

If you couldn't already tell, we're major fans of Gus and the entire snake plant family! This green amigo is happy with long periods of drought and doesn't ask for much from his plant parents. Oh, and did we mention Sansevierias are air purifying? They convert carbon dioxide into oxygen at night which cleans the air - helping you snooze better and making snake plants the ideal roommates! If you're still undecided, we've got you covered. You can choose from a variety of types and sizes - we've got a soilmate for everyone. Make sure you get well acquainted with Gus, Kaa, and Nagini. They happen to be our faves but shhhh don't tell the others!
