How to care for Rudy
Poinsettias (Euphorbia pulcherrima) are popular potted plants known for their vibrant, colorful bracts, often mistaken for petals, that come in red, white, pink, or variegated patterns. Native to Mexico, they thrive in bright, indirect sunlight and prefer temperatures between 60-70°F. Water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry, avoiding overwatering, which can cause root rot. Keep poinsettias away from drafts and direct heat sources to maintain their longevity. With proper care, their colorful display can last for several weeks to months. While not highly toxic, their sap can irritate skin and be mildly harmful to pets if ingested, so handle them with care.
