It’s impossible to hate Ally-Mae, it’s not just that she’s ridiculously cute but she’s also the nicest plant ever! Ally-Mae is the kind of person who remembers your birthday and she doesn’t even have Facebook. Ally-Mae just knows when you’re not feeling yourself, don’t ask me how, she just knows. When you talk, she actually listens, she’s not waiting to bring the conversation back to herself. And with ears shaped like a bunny it’s no wonder she listens so well! Ally-Mae is the friend we all need and deserve but don’t always get. She puts the end in “friend” as in “end of facing your troubles alone!”
How to care for Ally-Mae
The Opuntia Microdasys Albata is a fan favourite among #PlantParents due to the cacti’s pads that very closely resemble the ears of a rabbit. Unlike other cacti the pads aren’t covered in harmful spines but instead aureoles reminiscent of balls of cotton (insert cute emoji). These adorable plants require full sun or as much as you can find! When watering check to make sure it’s soil is dry (DRY!) before watering again. Usually once every three weeks in spring and summer and only twice in the six months thereafter (fall and winter)! The perfect holiday plant!
